"Good courses, though a little hit or miss"
I’ve only done a couple of the BBC Maestro courses so far, so I can’t speak for the whole platform, but overall I thought they were good. Some of the lessons really pulled me in, and the instructors definitely seem like they know what they’re talking about.
That said, a few sections felt a bit slow or too introductory for what I was hoping for. Maybe it depends on the course or what level you’re coming in at, but for the price, I expected a little more depth in places. Still decent, just not amazing all the way through

"Decent classes, but I wish I’d handled the billing sooner"
The classes I took were actually good, so it’s a shame the billing part left such a bad taste. I thought I had cancelled before the renewal date, but then I saw another charge come through, and I regretted not double-checking everything more carefully.
Support did get back to me, but it took a few days, and the response felt kind of generic, like a copy-paste answer. It wasn’t a terrible experience overall, but it definitely wasn’t as smooth as I hoped, and I’m not sure I’d sign up again without being extra careful.

"Works well on my phone and laptop"
I’ve been using it on both my phone and laptop, and overall it works smoothly. It’s easy to figure out, which I really appreciate. I do wish there were a few more helpful tips or guidance when you first start using it, but once I got going, it was simple and convenient to use.

"Good teacher, but it felt a bit too surface-level"
I expected a bit more from this course, honestly. The lessons are well put together and the teacher definitely knows their stuff, but everything moves quickly and doesn’t go very deep. A lot of it felt more like quick tips than proper step-by-step teaching. I also got that weird feeling you sometimes get with online courses where there isn’t really a person there guiding you through it, even though the videos are nice. For the price, I was hoping for slower explanations and more detail. It’s not bad, just wasn’t as helpful as I thought it would be.

"Better than I expected, honestly"
I signed up thinking it might be basic, but I was surprised by how much there is to watch. The lessons actually feel worth the money, and I’ve already picked up a few useful tips. Just a heads up if you’re on the fence: don’t write it off because of the price, because there’s more value here than I expected. Happy with it so far.

"Support was slower than I expected"
The courses themselves are fine, so I don’t really have a big complaint there. But when I had an issue with my account, support took way too long to get back to me. I waited a few days for an actual helpful reply, which felt annoying because when you need help, you kind of need it right then. I guess it’s not the worst thing ever since the courses still work okay, but it definitely made the whole experience feel less smooth...

"Clunky compared to other platforms"
I really wanted to like it, but using the site ended up being frustrating. Compared to other paid platforms I’ve used, this one just feels messier and harder to navigate. The menus are kind of all over the place, videos don’t always load smoothly, and it’s weirdly difficult to find where I left off. I also got logged out a few times, which got old fast. For something people are paying for, I expected it to feel a lot more polished

I found the lessons really clear and simple to understand. The teaching style makes it easy to keep up without feeling overwhelmed. Overall, I’d say it’s a solid choice if you want something straightforward and helpful.

The teachers clearly know their stuff. A few lessons were really interesting too. But some classes felt a little too basic for the price. I was hoping for more practical tips and detail. Still a good experience overall.

"Some great classes, but I wanted more to wander through"
I’ve enjoyed BBC Maestro overall — there are a few courses that really caught my eye and felt worth sitting down for. I think I started with one thing, then somehow ended up browsing completely different topics, which was fun, but also made me notice the selection feels a bit thin in places. Like, what’s there is good, I just kept wishing there were more options to jump between, especially in some subjects. So yeah, good experience, just not quite enough variety for me yet.
